The Isle of Wight's chain ferry, linking West and East Cowes, is back up and running after some emergency repairs. The floating bridge has been operating a foot-passenger only service since a collision between the slipway and ramp earlier this week. But the crossing is now back in action, in time for Friday night's rush-hour.
