National Carers' Week runs between 9 and 15 June.
On Wednesday, an event is to be held at Newport's Riverside Centre. The Isle of Wight Council will unveil results of a survey which set out to discover how many people on the Island are looking after someone and are unpaid. The statistics will shape a Carers Strategy, which will be published later this year.
