A £41,700 Heritage Lottery grant will help Brook’s colourful past come to life.
From shipwrecks and smuggling to fishing and farming, archive material’s been gathered to tell the history of the village. Thanks to a project launched by the Seely Hall Committee, the memories will be collated in a 3 year project. It’ll culminate in an interactive exhibition in the village hall, together with guided heritage walks, teaching materials and a short film. There will also be practical workshops like withy bed conservation and lobster pot making, vegetable growing and beekeeping.
