BLUE FLAG TO FLY AFTER 5 YEARS

Ventnor Beach is one of the best again.
Ventnor Beach is one of the best again.
Ventnor will be formally presented with its Blue Flag beach award today.

The Keep Britain Tidy group judged the beach’s facilities, cleanliness and safety standards worthy of the flag, five years after it lost the award.  Mayor of Ventnor and Council Member for Ventnor West, Susan Scoccia, will be handed the flag by Council Leader Cllr David Pugh.  It’ll be raised at the new bandstand on Ventnor Esplanade, at lunchtime. Ryde East beach loast its Blue Flag this year, because of poor water quality.
