The organisers of September’s Bestival are set to release a limited number of tickets to Islanders.
Friday’s move will coincide with the announcement of the first raft of acts confirmed to play Robin Hill. Islander Day Bestival 2008 tickets will be sold without commission and handling fees and will be available at the Isle of Wight Tourist Information Centres (in Westridge, Newport, Sandown, Shanklin, Ryde, Cowes and Yarmouth), Robin Hill, Ventnor Winter Gardens and the Pilot Boat Inn in Bembridge. Children under 12 remain free, but they do need to be accompanied by a ticket holding adult and must have a pass. Bestival 2008 will be held between 5 and7 September.
