
Sculpture stolen from Ryde
Police are releasing a picture of a distinctive ceramic sculpture that was reported stolen from an address in Ryde on the Isle of Wight.
The sculpture is handmade and comes in six separate parts, which make up a three feet high tower.
It is described as very heavy in weight, and has the words ‘Babel Tower’ engraved in the bottom of the sculpture.
A second sculpture was also reported stolen. This is described as smaller in size than the first one. It is a sculpture of a tree, which has a child sitting underneath with their arms stretched out.
The burglary is believed to have happened at an address in Melville Street, Ryde sometime between Tuesday, June 9 and Thursday, June 11, 2009.
Police would like to hear from anyone with information, or who might have noticed objects matching the descriptions above for sale second hand anywhere.
