APPEAL AFTER ALLEGATION OF DANGEROUS MOTORCYCLIST ON THE ISLE OF WIGHT

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was reported riding dangerously along a main road on the Isle of Wight.

It’s alleged a black and white coloured motorbike was travelling over the speed limit on the A3056 main road near the Fighting Cocks crossroads at Newchurch, Isle of Wight.

The motorcyclist was reported to be travelling from the Sandown direction towards Arreton at approximately 9.30am yesterday morning (Sunday, August 23, 2009).

The A3056 main road was busy with traffic at the time, and police are keen to hear from any motorists or pedestrians who may have seen this motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, or anyone with information, is asked to contact the Isle of Wight Roads Policing Unit at Shanklin Police Station by phoning 101. Mini-Com users can call 01962 875000.
