Police and partner agencies are working together to ensure a safe and secure Cowes Week sailing regatta in 2009.
Cowes Police Station at the junction of Birmingham Road and Mill Hill Road will be open to the public from 8.00am until 8.00pm from tomorrow (Friday, July 31) until Saturday, August 8 with Station Enquiry Officers (SEOs) on duty during these extended times.
Isle of Wight Crime Prevention Officer Michala Bailey said: “I would like to remind people going to Cowes Week to make sure they keep any valuables in secure places out of sight. ”

Experienced specialist police officers are working alongside staff from Isle of Wight Council to carry out licensing checks at pubs and clubs in Cowes.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service will respond to any incidents at the event and St. John Ambulance will be providing cover for the fireworks night.
