As part of a Book Fair running in the school's Learning Resource Area, Carisbrooke High School students were given the chance to develop their writing skills under the tuition of Island author Felicity Fair Thompsom.
Year 9 students were enabled to enhance their story characters and write character dialogue in the hour long sessions.
Felicity, who is based at Sandown, is well known here for her writing skills and film making. The sessions gave the students time in which to learn new skills, and Felicity passed on to the students her techniques for writing. She also encouraged those who, at first, were reluctant to put pen to paper.
Runnig from 12th- 16th March the Book Fair proved popular with students and book tokens were distributed.
