Now in its 10th year, the White Air Extreme Sports Festival attracts an international line up of talent across a number of sports. It has gained a reputation as one of Europe’s premier extreme sports championships based on land and water. Sponsored by numerous Island businesses, including Wightlink and Green Island, the Yaverland-based festival promises to be a memorable weekend.

From the sheer radical style of Kiteboarding, Windsurfing Surfing and Skating to the intensity of Kayaking, and Thundercat Powerboat racing, the weekend is set to be an explosive occasion full of immense excitement. The variety of sports on offer ensures there is something for everyone, whether you want to compete have a go yourself or simply marvel at the professionals.

Some of the Uk's top skaters will be on hand to give advice, and show their skills on the midi pipe and trailer park street course within the White Air Extreme Sports Freesports Park, while experts in the fields of kitesurfing, winddisc and paragliding will also be in attendance to advise and entertain. If sport is not your thing, you can try your hand at Graffiti Art clinics, led by top graffiti artists, or enjoy further attractions such as a retail village and a range of family entertainment. There are hundreds of competitors creating action on land and sea throughout the long weekend, with the event also backed by live music and two huge party nights.

With numerous sports available for youngsters to try too, this promises to be a great half-term activity event for the whole family. See the website at www.whiteair.co.uk for more details, where you can also find a huge gallery and an exciting forum.
