SCOOTER MANIA AS MASSIVE ISLAND RALLY BEGINS
The vrrrrrrmm of scooter engines and the sound Northern Soul will take the Island by storm, this weekend, as the annual Scooter Rally revs up for action. Camping at Smallbrook Stadium at Ashey, near Ryde and bringing a throng of colour to the Island’s roads, hundreds upon hundreds are expected for event. It’s among the largest rallies of its kind in the world and over the course of the weekend there are live bands, a scooter show and a mass ride out. A good bet to see the customised scooters in all their glory is to visit Ryde, where they are regularly parked along Union Street. You will also find them in the car park outside Planet Ice, on Ryde seafront.
