POLICE TO HEADLINE 2008 IW FESTIVAL
The Police will headline the Isle of Wight Festival 2008. The band will take to the Seaclose Park stage on Sunday 15 June, to close the 2008 event. The Isle of Wight Music Festival scooped the Best Major UK Festival at this year's UK Festival Awards. IW Festival Promoter John Giddings said, "It's a coup to get The Police. We're very happy to have the biggest tour of the last two years stopping by the Isle of Wight." The Police will return to Europe in 2008, and the Isle of Wight performance will be their only UK festival show.
