Two pilots are attempting to land at 17 UK airports, including Bembridge on the Isle of Wight, in just 17 hours. Mainlanders Steve Bridgewater and Amanda Harrison took off from RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire at 4:30am and will travel as north as Durham, before heading south to the Island. They will be flying until about 9:30pm, stopping only to refuel and to hold press conferences, where they are hoping to raise awareness of a scheme for people with disabilities, called Flying Scholarships for the Disabled.
