Police Report.
At the AGM of the Northwood Community Partnership, Sergeant Julie Cocks reported that there had been complaints where a number of ‘older’ local teenagers had been responsible for anti-social behaviour. Incidents reported include threatening behaviour- particularly towards vulnerable residents (i.e small children using the park and older residents, living nearby). Vandalism and criminal damage to village furniture were reported to the police, which originates from this particular group.

One of the circumstances of this has led to the Goal Posts once again being moved, by the Council. In addition to this graffiti has also been removed from the play equipment and nearby property. The police are anxious to take action against this group of teenagers, and have subsequently made this a priority.

On other matters Sgt. Cocks emphasised that although PC Mark Thomas, is our beat officer- If you have an item to report, report this immediately. If Mark is available at the time he will attend the scene himself. Sgt. Cocks also suggested that Residents should always dial 999, when witnessing any perceived criminal act being committed. If in any doubt always call 999.

For less minor enquiries Sgt. Cocks suggests either telephoning the new 101 number, Emailing Mark on mark.d.thomas@hampshire.pnn.police.uk, or calling 0845 045 45 45. For further information contact: Paul Fuller on 289595, or John Pullen (Neighbourhood Watch) on 281250.
