Mottistone’s 20th annual jazz festival takes place this evening. It is held in the grounds of Mottistone Manor, which is owned by the National Trust. The Pete Allen Jazz Band, the Goose Island Syncopators and the Ryde School Swing Band are among those set to entertain the crowds. Visitors should bring their own picnics to the event, which gets underway at 6:30 pm. Mottistone Manor is between Brighstone and Brook, on the B3399. Money raised from the event goes toward the house’s upkeep. For more information and for tickets call the National Trust shop at Brighstone on 01983 740689.
