Tickets for this year’s Isle of Wight Festival have sold out in less than a week.
In a remarkable situation that will delight festival organisers, all 50,000 tickets for the event in June have already been snapped up, having only gone on sale during the middle of last week.
The tickets are thought to have sold ten times faster than ever before, with the outstanding sales largely the result of top class acts - including headliners Snow Patrol and Muse - being announced last Monday.
The festival takes places between the 8th and 10th of June at Seaclose Park, and will be the sixth event since the festival was revived in 2002. The Sunday night headliners are expected to be announced on 20th March, and are likely to add further prestige to an event which already promises to be a highlight of the coming summer.
