IWIGHT.COM WINS WEB AWARD
"A very good, crisp site.” The words of judges at the Hantsweb Awards 2007 where the IW Council’s iwight.com was named Best Public Services Website, on Tuesday. The site was also said to use “just the right amount of graphics...[with a] good use of forums, just need to take care that they are well supervised and nice to see the Chief Executive with a Blog.” It beat Portsmouth City Council and Rushmoor Borough council to the accolade.
In the Best Rural category, the Isle of Wight based naturenet.net (PICTURED) was named one of two runners up.
