The achievements of the Isle of Wight Economic Partnership, over the past 20 months, are being judged in the 2007 Regeneration and Renewal Awards. The organisation has been voted a finalist, ahead of a ceremony in September. It is in the running to be named Best Economic Development Organisation. Using funding from the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA), the IW Council and some commercial activities, the partnership says it has worked with more than 1000 young people and written a new economic strategy for the Island, among other work.
