An Isle of Wight based organsiation's claiming hi-tech tracking systems designed to keep children safe could give parents a false sense of security. Spokesperson for the Lucie Blackman Trust, Matt Searle, says GPS tracking devices are limited because they only show where a person is, not whether they are safe. He claims panic buttons linked to mobile phones are better. The Trust was set up by Tim Blackman, from Ryde. His 21-year-old daughter was found dead in Japan in 2001, where she'd been working as a bar hostess.
