IW EVENTS MARK ANTI-BULLY WEEK
The Isle of Wight is marking anti-bullying week, from Monday with the start of consultation on a new anti-bullying strategy. The IW Council’s proposals are available online at at EduWight, which can accessed via iwight.com. The consultation runs until 21 December. Anti-Bullying Week is organised by the national body Anti-Bullying Alliance. Across the week, events include a focus group at Sandown High School on Wednesday, giving students the chance to talk to the experts abut bullying during the journey to school. Isle of Wight police officers and PCSOs will be deployed throughout the week. On 23 November, children across the Island will mark 'Blue Friday', by swapping their uniforms for blue clothes.
