INFLUENTIAL COMMITTEE POST FOR IW MP
The Island’s MP Andrew Turner again has a seat on the Executive of the influential 1922 Committee. The group of backbench Conservatives keep the party’s leadership informed of the mood of backbenchers. Mr Turner was originally elected to the Committee shortly after his election in 2001, earlier in his parliamentary career than any other Conservative MP.
