HARRY POTTER FANS BRING HOGWARTS TO NEWPORT
Around 800 Harry Potter fans, many in fancy dress, have queued up to be among the first to get their hands on a copy of the teenage wizard’s last adventure. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released at midnight and Waterstones bookshop, in Newport, was among those to open especially for the event. On Saturday afternoon, managers told the IW Beacon that they had sold out and that the store had parted with more than 1000 copies. Muggles are now eagerly reading the final instalment in the long running series (this website editor, among them!).
