Budding young go-kart enthusiasts are being invited to take part in the third annual Isle of Wight Soapbox Derby.
This thrilling event has proved a massive success in its two previous years, and organisers are hoping for another sizeable turnout when the 2007 challenge is held on 3rd June at Pan Recreation Ground, Newport.
Last year's challenge saw over thirty competitors build and race their own karts and, in spite of unfortunately wet weather, a crowd of 600 spectators were enthralled as the go karts sped down the 20 foot ramp.
Prizes and trophies are once more on offer at this year’s forthcoming race, so for those with a passion for karting or simply looking to get involved in an exciting team-orientated challenge, this could be the event for you.
