A one mile fun-run will test the endurance of Freshwater’s youngsters, on Sunday. The West Wight Sports Centre is hosting the event, from 11am. The under 9s and those aged between 9 and 15 years old can compete, in two separate races. Their challenge is to cross the finish line, on the playing field at West Wight Middle School. Around 50 children are expected to take part in the event.
