A medieval knight will ride onto the Red Funnel Ferry at Southampton, on Thursday morning, to rally the support of passengers ahead of a joust at Carisbrooke Castle. Clad in full armour and carrying a lance, he'll cross the Solent to East Cowes on the 9am sailing. The Red Knight is hoping for victory against the Yellow, Blue and Green Knights at the Medieval Bank Holiday spectacular, which gets underway on Saturday. Fools, stilt walkers and jesters will also be on hand to entertain the crowds attending the event at the castle near Newport.
