CARISBROOKE POND SCHEME: PART TWO
Phase two of a scheme to enhance a Carisbrooke pond is underway. The Environment Agency’s carrying out work on the Lukely Brook. With support from Southern Water, the organisation is working to improve water quality. Wetland plants have already been planted, increasing wildlife. Now, they are continuing to restore the site by creating several ‘wet’ islands within the pond.
