BUSINESSES LINE UP FOR ISLAND ACCOLADES
Well done to all the winners of the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce’s Business Awards 2007! The IW Beacon missed out on the accolade for best Small Business, to the fast-growing Island Day Nursery, which now has bases in East Cowes, Sandown and Newport. Alum Bay’s Needles Park was awarded Best Business in the Community Award and Newchurch-based Amazon World was handed the Tourism and Leisure Award. The night’s big winner was AJ Wells and Son, which won three awards including Business of the Year. The awards were handed out at Cowes Yacht Haven, on Friday night.
