BATTLE OF THE FESTIVALS AT ANNUAL AWARDS
It’s time for the annual battle of the Island’s summer music festivals. The Isle of Wight Festival 2007 and Bestival are going head-to-head, at the UK Festival Awards. The Isle of Wight Festival, which took place at Seaclose Park in June, boasts 9 nominations. Robin Hill’s Bestival, which was held in September, has 14 nominations. Last year, Bestival was named Best Medium-Large Festival.

You need to vote for your favourite before Sunday 28 October, at www.festivalawards.com. The winners will be announced on 6 November and the Isle of Wight Beacon Online will let you know if your favourite’s made the grade.

It is worth noting that neither event features in the Best Toilets category!
