Homebuilder Barratt Homes is working with the Isle of Wight College to recruit Island apprentices. The scheme will see NVQ students, from the Newport-based college, training with the developer. Ten apprentices, aged 17 to 20, will be employed by Barratt, with day release to attend college. Their skills will be used on Barratt’s developments at Hawthorn Meadows (between East Cowes and Whippingham) and Nautiqua in Cowes.
