Could you be an Island Pond Warden? Scheme organisers are seeking new members to help them manage over 500 ponds.
You would be working alongside 60 other wardens, who have already been trained for the role. A training day will be held in Newport in October, funded by the Environment Agency, whose Isle of Wight staff will all to train as wardens. If you want to know more, there will be an open evening, at 7pm, on 18 September (at the Riverside Centre, Newport). and a training day on 23 October.
