SUSPECTS FAIL TO ANSWER BAIL ON THE ISLE OF WIGHT
- Police can confirm a 49-year-old woman from Redhill, Surrey, and a 72-year-old man, originally from the Derby area, were due to answer bail on Sunday, September 26, 2010. The suspects did not report to Newport Police Station on the Isle of Wight as expected. They remain on police bail pending further enquiries.

MAYDAY CAMPAIGN – RYDE INSHORE RESCUE
- In 2009 Ryde Inshore Rescue put out their very own “Mayday” to help rescue their building, which is becoming overcrowded and despite regular maintenance is leaking more than ever. To date the lifeboat station has managed to raise half of the £140,000 required and is now turning to Islanders to help them reach the full amount.

- Sandown Library is encouraging everyone to wear it pink for the Breast Cancer Campaign by hosting a 'Wear it pink' Tea Party. - Through a recent fundraising month Wave 105’s charity, Cash for Kids, helped to raise £25,000 for children’s charity, Naomi House. The fundraising month ended with a charity auction on Wave 105 where listeners placed bids for a host of prizes.

- The steam engineering apprentice at The Isle of Wight Steam Railway has been named ‘Young Preservationist of the Year 2010’ by The Transport Trust. In a national awards ceremony, 22 year-old Kevin Colley from Ryde on the Isle of Wight, was presented with his award by HRH Prince Michael of Kent.
