Ripcurl English Nationals
- Several Island surfers travelled to Newquay in Cornwall to compete in the Ripcurl English Nationals events which culminated this weekend in huge and windblown conditions. Unfortuantly none of our surfers made it through to the finals in any of the Adult events, however, Zoe Sheath continued her success in surfing with a deserved second in the Ripcurl English Nationals junior event at Watergate Bay last week where she competed in the Under 18 Girls. This prestigious and long running contest is the main event for England team selection and Zoe has inreased her ranking to 2nd in England.

Isle of Wight Plays Host To International Yachting Regatta.
- Sponsored by Rolex, The Commodores’Cup is being sailed in the waters off Cowes. Thirteen teams, with three boats per team, from across Europe are sailing against each other for the chance to hold the cup for two years. Current holders GB Red are here again to try and retain the trophy which they won in 2004.
